"The variety of the award winners classroom projects reflects the variety of resources available through cable technology and programming," said Dr.
Helen Soulé, executive director of Cable in the Classroom (CIC). "The Missouri Cable Telecommunications Association and their members should be commended for their longstanding partnership with Missouri educators. Across the state, innovative educators are employing cable resources to expand and enhance student learning, and it is important for these educators to be recognized and rewarded for the differences they are making in the lives of students."
The Teaching With Cable Awards program recognizes and rewards excellence in integrating cable television and Internet resources into classroom learning. The program is MCTA’s way of recognizing outstanding teachers who use Cable in the Classroom and Internet resources to create new and innovative teaching and learning methods.
Each January the Teaching With Cable Awards recognizes K-12 teachers and their schools in the State of Missouri for their innovative and effective use of Cable in the Classroom programs and Internet resources used in lessons.
