Cable in the Classroom (CIC)

Cable in the Classroom MCTA is a member of Cable in the Classroom (CIC), a nonprofit service of the cable industry which seeks to match the resources of cable television with the needs of schools.

Nationally, more than 39 cable network members provide more than 500 hours of high quality, commercial-free, copyright-cleared programs that cover virtually all teaching disciplines.

Created in 1989 to help schools take advantage of educational cable programming and technology, CIC has become a leading national advocate for media literacy education and for the use of technology and media for learning, as well as a valuable resource of educational cable content and services for policymakers, educators and industry leaders.
